I only caught the 2nd half but being a big fan of the underdog I thoroughly enjoyed that 2nd half. Romania were brilliant in defense and, until they took mutu off, looked pretty dangerous coming forwards too. France looked ordinary.

Yeah really, this is one hell of a game! finally real football. And to be honest I don't mind watching the italians getting their asses kicked

2 great goals from Holland, really a shame that Italy didn't manage to get one in the back of the net from so many chances. Toni really doesn't work on his own.

well, in the absence of an England squad, I thought I might as well support the Dutchies. They basically are English but with better manners (and better English) so why not?
And what do they do? Play a blinder!!!
The Italians did not play badly. OK, they had **** luck with that first goal not being awarded offside but after that the entire Dutch team could hardly put a foot wrong.
Those two counterattack goals were brilliant, especially Van Bronckhorst and Kuyt for the last goal after Van Der sar kept out that free kick.
It is always good to see the Italians get their butts kicked but this was extra-special good.
The only difficulty is deceiding which Dutchie played best - mebbe Engelaar?

I think van bronkhorst made the difference. He stopped the 1-1 and made the 2-0.
Also the first goal was not offside because one of the italians was outside the field apparantly.
