[Question] fixin error

I have been playing red orchestra for a while now I get an error message:

error setting display mode, create device failed (d3derr_invalidcall), it tells me to delete my red orchestra. ini file .

Question what is this and how do i fix it

In the main RO folder (Steam/steamapps/common) go to "System" and look for the RO ini.file, it should be next to the RO exe. icon, its a text file.
Delete this file.

Start Steam and verify your local game cache, right click on the RO icon in "my games"/properties/local game files/verify integrity of game cache...
You will have to reset your game config after doing so.

if that doesn't work try updating your videocard drivers and install the latest revision of directx

Failed to create D3D Device. If this persists, delete the ROEngine.ini file from the Config directory. Also make sure that your desktop resolution is not set higher than 1920x1080. If none of this helps, post this issue in the support section of this forum and mention this error.

I am installing newer ATI catalyst drivers now. I have verified the game cache in Steam and deleted the file above...

UPDATE: New drivers and reboot resulting in same error. It Used to run perfectly.
Win 7 64, ATI 7970 (upgraded from 6970 possibly the last time I played)...
