I had a terrible day of work driving around listening to the radio on 9/11.
Was my family safe? They estimated that 50,000 people were working in the buildings when they fell, reports said the Pentagon had been "bombed", the news was saying they had shot down several other planes, what wasn't possible at noon on 9/11?
My father was laid off as a result and I racked $15,000 dollars in debt supporting the family from 2002-2006.
Several friends are and have served in Iraq and Afghanistan as a result.
I visited the hole months afterward and was surprised at how much of my favorite city was damaged by the disaster.

and yet.....
