@MP 38 I only used "stupid" because it was mentioned in the title of this thread. I also used "" to prescind that for me stupid has no exact defintion and is not easy to define, that's why I outlined what I meant.

Nevertheless I have to say that after a fast glance beyond the Roper Survey [1] I mentioned I have nothing to back up my assumption.
Neither the statistics found on the White House homepage [2], nor comparisions of EUROSTAT data with US data backed that up.
Still those statistics don't focus on geographic knowledge.
