BUT ALL IN ALL, THE BEST GAME IS "MONKEY ISLAND"

It was the only online game I've played for quite a while although it runs like crap for me (10-20 frames on small infantery maps. Can't even get 10 frames on regular tank maps so I don't play them). Nowadays it just gets on my nerves that it runs so bad so I barely play it anymore.
Still, it has to be my #1 online shooter to play with strangers.
When playing with friends, I prefer Raven Shield or UT2004.
My favorite games over all have to be Mario Kart 64 and Super Smash Brothers. RO can't even scratch these.

One of the best FPS games ever played.... I would have to put it in same box as Deus Ex, Vampires and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. SoC.

It's the best online shooter ive ever played.
Next to that, its in my top3 together with Battlezone (rts/fps combination!!), and Operation Flashpoint.
Populous: The Beginning is a great game too.

I tend to enjoy good single player games a lot more, I find them more engrossing. However I'd say this is probably in my top 3 for multiplayer games.

RO:CA (the mod) is the best.
If UT3 comes out then we will see whats my favourite game.................................the one my pc can play ofcourse.

I'd say IL-2 is the only one that comes close, really. But then the other games all have quirks that drive me up the wall. (RTW's horrendous AI, for example)

Well, RO is definately up there, and I've been playing for like 4 years now. But, I have to say the best FPS I've ever played, overall experience and wow-factor wise, is the Forgotten Hope mod for BF1942. Just rocks.

Only game I ever joined a forum for, and favourite online nodoubt - although as a RL/Historical shooter I possibly prefer Vietcong for it's single player, co-op and sentimental reasons.
And as much as it excels as an online shooter, overall I couldn't honestly put RO above the experience i got from my 1st encounters with Goldeneye64, HL or Deus Ex so i guess the answer would be no.

On my top 3 list, the best one for me is Call Of Duty UO in terms of entertainment ,more fun things happen. Sometime I think the game play of RO is too serious for me and for fun sake.But in terms of realistism , RO is the best.
