New PC Good for price?

Yep, one of my boys was getting something like 17.000 fps in RO.

AMD 3800 X2 + Nv 7900gs...

EDIT... The OP must have a sound card, is that not so ?

You play RO with your kids?

I want children too.

Soundcard has two advantages in general the sound is better and the CPU doesn't have to calculate the sound that should lead to more performance.

Jokerman have you tried the Dual Core optimizer from the AMD website it helps resolve issues with games etc not liking dual cores which can sometimes cause stuttering. I installed it from day one and have only had stutters for RO since i purchased an 8800gts 640m but that is known to be the pants nvidia drivers.

Yes, I did and it helped but not dramaticaly Im 'fraid.
But yesterday I tried the new beta drivers from nvidia (168.15 ?) and I can see another improvement- microstutters are subltler and were transformed to a kind of a nervous tick.
So, maybe Im wrong and its an nvidia drivers issue only (I sure hope so)- I didnt think so till now cos than every owner of nvidia cards would have my issues, no? Which reminds me- Putz, why d'you think everybody with 8800 has issues?

Ok i think i will just build my own pc thx for advice.
Cool. Alternatively if you run into troubles or are just plain unsure about some stuff and don't feel confident doing it you can have the people at PC club put it together for you. I don't know how much they charge to do that but I would'nt think it'd be too much hopefully. There's actually a store in Las Vegas if you're interested:http://www.pcclub.com/stores_info.cfm?stid=NVLV
