Massive FPS Lag

I run the game in the highest settings @ 1440x900(FOV changed to 106) and it runs fine at 84-85. On about half of the maps it just starts lagging after a couple of minutes of running fine (down to about 20-25 frames), I thought maybe the card was overheating and it was powering down but it turns out that wasn't the case. It seems this has been happening recently, I scanned for spyware/virus's with Antivir, Spybot, Spyware Doctor and Adaware and it came up clean, did a manual search for spyware/virus's, reinstalled and updated all drivers, to no avail.

Some help would be really greatly appreciated!

This is a laptop rig, but as you can see it should run fine...

How many processes do you have running in the background?

Post a list with all the processes you have.

I give up, I'll format, I'll let you know if it works or not....

With dual core you might have processes interlock happening.
Where one process relies on another (on the other core) before it can continue, resulting in a process stall (game slow down).

Make sure the game and all it's support stuff runs on one core only.
