Why not be able to use the Bolt-Action Sniper Rifles' ammunition pouch with the Non-Sniper Rifles?

The only difference is the stripper clips.

I haven't been able to. The game won't let me pick up the sniper ammo when I have a rifle equiped.

Anyways what kind of scenario would require that? If you find a fallen sniper rifle, you either take it or you dont. Why would you just need the ammo?

Because it's a combat simulation.

The ammo is exactly the same, you can use it in both of a rifle's normal and scoped variants.

AFAIK, you just pick up the ammo pouch--et voila.

Now we only need to be able to use bolt clips in our semis.

It is pretty shonky though that with the Gewher 41 you kan't pick up a KAR98's magazine pouch and vice versa, they load with the same stripper clips. The ammo bag should be universal between the two.

I would be more happy about correct behaviour for SVT40, G43 and G41 rifles. IN other words "open bolt after firing the last round". And you should be able to use striper clips from your comrades with your semi automatic weapons! Seriously, some spare magazines in your pocket, and the rest striper clips. So far I know that was very common, to have maybe 3 or 4 magazines, and some striper clips. It would also help to prevent a bit the "I use my Semi rifle like a Submachine gun" behaviour, when you know that you need a painfull long reload.
