Anybody heard the new Linkin Park album?

Linkin Park took a weak turn when they formed, they suck, always have sucked and always will suck as does the majority of this emotive bordering on emo 'nu metal' ****.

Nu Metal, more like No Metal . Who ever "invented" that genre needs to be shot. Another silly genres suck to, like rapcore (FFS rap and rock are totaly different things), emocore another annoying genre.

Im gona make a new thread about a upcoming album :p.(not Linkin Park)

Enough linkin park. This thread is now about the new megadeth album united abonimations.

Personally i believe its theire best since countdown till extinction. Sometimes it has some rust in peaceish riffing. Lyrics are reasonably good. I have reasonable hopes for megadeth's future.

Sleepwalker is a mighty fine mosher. The Drover bros must have really inspired the band!

As far as "nu metal" Disturbed are pretty good. I would consider them more "new metal" than "nu metal" though (metal fans know what I'm talking about) They have some sweet melodies and their lyrics aren't juvenile junk and their songs are fairly advanced (compared to most other junk nu metal bands). If I had to listen to some new metal they would be my choice.

Cookie cutter teen angst band if ever i heard one.

They are "adequate", they have enough skill to make something that is pleasing to the ear and make you tap your foot, and bands can live on that for some years, but people will loose intrest in them, and the second sales are failing the label will kick them to the curb, and you will never hear a LP single played on the radio again.

>_>

RATM is good but there are way better bands. For example gorguts is just wow....
You like Gorguts? I thought you were an Opeth kind of guy. Anyway yes Gorguts are one of my favorites but depending on their album their styles change dramatically. Their first 2 "considered dead & erosion of sanity" are utterly awesome with erosion of sanity being more technical. Then you have "Obscura" which is really pushing the boundaries of "music" and into bizzaro land and is groundbreaking in it's own way. "Sweet Silence" is probably my favorite song off Obscura. So now everyone knows another incredible metal band to get. I have many more unbelievable ones I'll remain hush hush about.

I bet a hundred bucks that not one person complaining here about LP has heard the new album. I've never been a big LP fan, but I must admit that their new album is COMPLETELY different and WAY better than their older stuff - music and lyric wise. I'd even say that they sound like a real and mature band now.
Oh yeah, and "Given up" is the best song I've heard for a while. :D But what do I know.
