Bring back the old mod STG44 sound?

Personally, I like the old STG44 sound a whole lot more than the current one. It sounded much more like a real gun imo:

If the current one is more accurate to the real sound forget what I said, but as far as I know the mod sound was quite accurate to the sound in that second video.

I don't know if i want the old sound back, but I agree the StG sounds kind of weak. The other gun sounds are better.

The mod sound is crap, maybe it sounds more like the actual gun but the Retail sound is still better (much).

But we could use some enviroment sounds like catridges falling on the floor and nades hitting the ground etc.


The difference between the controlability of the Stg44 and the Tommy Gun in auto fire was kind of impressive. I am curious if the Tommy Gun will be so hard to control in DH (or MN).

Yeah IMO some things from the mod need to be implemented to OST, like some maps and features, maby some gameplay elements.

yeah they stg is very dull and thuddy sounding, whilst it seems it should be more like a chatter or echoey static sound. Great english there huh!?

When comparing it to the Tommy gun keep in mind that the guy in that vid had nfi, he was even leaning backwards slightly. You have to put your weight forward into an automatic.

There are plenty of vids of Tommy guns being fired with little to no muzzle climb.

Seeing that vid I think the old sound would be better, sounds much more powerful than it does at the moment...

I also agree that there should be some sound when a grenade hits the ground, but that's another discussion entirely.
