Only works with headfones. I found it quite spooky when I first heard it

I believe you can do this with EAX, with headphone settings in RO.

That is awesome, it's called binaural recording. Pearl Jam used that kind of recording technique some of the songs on one of their albums ("Binaural" ).

It's already in-game, when using an EAX API embedded game.

You only need a Creative Soundblaster Live, Audigy or X-Fi, there are more non-Creative EAX-compatible cards though.
