Fighting games

Anyone tried Toribash? Its a physics based fighting game were you have to apply forces to each part of the body to come up with moves. From the website:

"Toribash is a turn-based fighting game. Create your own martial arts movies in single player sandbox mode,
or join the competition in the multi player modes. Focus is on tactics rather than reaction and button mashing.
The game features physics, full dismemberment, decapitation and comic style blood."

I like SC2. People say it's button mashing because it doesn't have ridiculously long combo/juggles/whatever like some other games. SC2 is more about timing and knowing what attacks to use when. Besides, botton mashers are easily destroyed by any decent player. I think the learning curve is generally button mashing, than try to memorize all the cool looking moves, realize most of the fancy moves don't work, then you learn which moves actually are useful.

SC2 was pretty much the game I nerded out about at the time, so I can tell you pretty much whatever you may want to know about it.

Cervantes was my overall favorite. He's just got too many good practical moves, long range characters can't keep him out, short range characters can't get too close, etc. He's good at 8-way run moves, so he can sidestep linear characters, but if you don't want characters like Taki or Talim to sidestep against you he can kill that instantly with down/forward A. Plus he can be played both flashy or with some bare essentials which is nice.

I don't have Melee, but in SSB (64) I'm best with the yellow electro rat Pikkachu (his air attacks are unmatched and his grab makes him effective on the ground too) but I play as Link more often because he is cooler.:)

Jigglypuff (Pummeluff in German) is regarded as weak by most players because his special abilities sukk (the make-others-sleepy attack is almost worthless because its probability of success isn't much higher than that of the attack you would want to do when the enemy sleeps so its not of much use, and the sleep-and-damage-others-with-it doesn't work often enough to even justify its usage), but he is even slightly better than Kirby in my opinion. If you can catch someone in midair and you drill him down to the floor (down + A) you can add a stomp attack (fast down + A) almost instatly (no other character can do this this fast). All in all you can do up to ~40 damage everytime you can drill someone!
