Wimmin Snipers

I forgot about watching that video, I watched it last weekend before I went to the range, then came home sick as a dog. Gread vid, Bolt!

I just was digging this up, cause the NRA's "America's First Freedom" magazine showed up today, and they've got a pretty decent writeup on Lyudmila Pavlichenko in it.

All it had on the cover was a small photo and "History's Greatest Female Sniper," without even looking at the photo, I knew who was gonna be inside. :D

Now why don't we ever see hot looking German women snipers?
cause there was "officaly" no female german sniper in any german army from world war 2.

If females did service in german army, then as nurces, administration or the Volksturm in Berlin (so far i know). The german doctrine in that time was "females" breed "males" fight.

Women served with FLAK assistance and as Luftwaffe ground personnel. It was a long tradition in the German armed forces that women do not serve in the fighting forces. With the extreme number of rapes that occured during WW2 I think that was a wise decision. This is way older than WW2 and the Nazis btw and only ended recently when the EU "forced" their rules on us.

Skripnikova and Bykova, September 1943.

Also, I've found a .pdf version of a book called "Heroines of The Soviet Union 1941-45". It has quite a lot of info about women tankers, machine gunners, snipers, medics, scouts etc. Also, with pretty pictures and photos. Download is almost free, just give me a cookie. :)
