Your perfect Red Orchestra

I'd like a system where you could buy skills (ability to jump longer distances, faster tanks, invulnerability when you press k, etc.) and new weapons with real world money. I'm rich and I'd like a change to own all the poor players. They would preferably be good enough to confer a real advantage but not too obvious so people without them would stop playing.

-Player support up to 128 with large outdoor maps with a lots of space to flank targets. (in urban maps, every building should be accessible) Capped areas work as spawns and player could choose which one to use. (if you have played Joint Ops you know what I am talking about).

- Destroyable enviroment.

- Suspension on vehicles.

- Fixed sniperrifles and machine guns. (less spread and more supression from mg)

- Supression bar, (like stamina). When supression gets high your vision is blurry and you hear less sounds, you begin to hear only your heart beating rapidly. Staying low / prone a for while lowers your supression (Call of Cthulhu: dark corners of earth features excellent fear effects)

1. Ducking behind MGs. Reloading while ducked would be nice too.

2. More realistic armour. (<3 the tiger, but it's only good if you angle it just the right way)

3. PTRS and Panzerschrek (sp?), while keeping the ammo lower to keep balance with their older counterparts.

4. Magnetic mines and those Russian throw mines. Man purse is only for maps requiring demolition (e.g. Stalingradkessel) Molotov cocktails too (starts engine fire and eventual explosion)

5. A Goddamn suspension system so tanks can drive in/out/over ditches. :mad:

6. Destructible environment, and for sure ability for tanks to squish obstacles like a simple fence. :rolleyes:

7. Group respawn, like BF2's squad system.

8. A better leaning system that moves horizontally (e.g. CoD2...don't hurt me!) instead of a full 45 degree tilt (which is hard and looks silly).

9. Reduced recoil on SMGs or removal of recoil bug.

10. Better Bots ffs! >_<!

i would like to see the weapon switch really fixed. the game is not playable in the "fixed" state it is in. i am sorry that weapon juggling was implemented. i feel cheated every time i try to pick something up, or my weapon is shot from my hand. no word as of any patches or fixes makes me think that this issue prolly wont ever be fixed.

So you made a thread where everyone can make suggestions on how they would like to see RO be improved. I guess you could say you made a suggestion forum, which would be great but...


Anyway I really like the "Arrgghhh mien [insert limb here]" idea, if it happened randomly and not every time you get shot/shoot someone.

And randomly depending on whenever how hard you are hit, you might fall to the ground.

OK, what I think this game needs at the moment:

1) Some way to attack enemies when completely unarmed.

2) A disorienting blur effect when hit by the butt/stock of a weapon.

3) Realistic tank armour with actual armour thickness, angle and penetration figures. Thats my "No!" for Hit Points.

4) Player models falling down when injured in the legs or torso.

Things I'd like to see, but which are not essential for gameplay:

1) Loud tanks and a blur effect when one drives too close to simulate tank phobia.

2) Player names pop up too easily at the moment. A player should have to focus more on player models to see their names. Hovering player names make the game look arcadeish.

3) A way to identify who's in a friendly tank (i.e. hovering player names, when a player focuses on the tank). People did mark their tanks, so this wouldn't be horribly unrealistic.

4) SdKfz-221 (MG) or 222 (autocannon) Panzersp

The definitive list:
-Elimination of "pop-up" riflemen, i.e. we make movement slower so you can't just pop up, fire and disappear at random.
-Leaning made less advantageous, especially when leaning to the oppossite of your normal weapon stance and fix the clipping issues
-Ability to to pivot around a bipod deployed weapons bipod.
-Ability to look over the sights on MGs.
-Mantling
-Variable crouch height -- especially helpful for deploying MGs on window sills.
-SMGs given realistic recoil and accuracy.
-German grenade fuse returned to mod standard
-Disorientation when stabbed or hit by a weapon's butt
-Dropped items may no longer be piled on top of eachother. This will make it easy to pick up any item.
-PT Soldats binoculars removed, add option to carry PPSh41 or M38 and add full amount of ammo for PTRD.
-Add PTRS.
-PTRD brought back to realistic penetration.
-Add AT mines and grenades to replace satchels as AT weapon of choice.
-Impair ability to fire back when being shot ala America's Army. It is not realistic to be shot and not even flinch.
-Add "request class" feature ala America's Army.
