Yes, bubblegum is illegal. As a result, we don't have that stupid problem in the US. Compare a curb in the Seattle and in Singapore, they are totally different.

Sang Nila Utama was a prince who (in a nutshell) was (according to legend) credited for giving Singapore its name (Singapura=Lion City in malay). Stamford Raffles was the Brit who colonized the place and is generally credited for modern singapore.

Malaysia originally had Singapore along with Sabah and Sarawak. After racial tensions and a lot of bloodshed, Singapore was expelled from the federation.
