From everyone at RGN to all our members and friends in the RO Community;

Happy Thanksgiving!

Oh this is the one where you celebrate the European settlers getting bailed out by the Native Americans who showed them that turkey, corn and squashes were good to eat, right? ;)

Thanksgiving is closely related to harvest festivals that had long been a traditional holiday in much of Europe prior to the pilgrims landing in Plymouth. Therefore, Thanksgiving is closely related to the traditional European Holiday Festival still celebrated today in Europe.

But you already knew that Nestor. :rolleyes:

They did that also but many years after the first Thanksgiving.
And it was the English who gave them smallpox blankets first, they also taught the Natives to scalp their victims, for proof of a kill for a monetary reward. Have you ever heard of the French Indian War?

Blow me Nestor... Lizard nutts too. :p

It's sad that the Pilgrims came here fleeing Religious Persecution, in the end they brought that crap here, with them from Europe.
