had a go at a movie

Last time I used FRAPS, It was killing me down to 10 to 12 FPS...
So its very hard to do anything impressive with such low fps using a bolt..

I run an AthXP3000+, 1500mb ram, agp8x6600GT

I run the game on 1280X720 mostly high details.

I REALLY want to record something.

My questions

-What kind of system do you have ?

-Would you think that setting fraps on 50 or 60FPS will make my fps more playable (last times I was setting it @ 25FPS...

-Any advice ?
Maybe just for recording, I can play @ 800x600 ? maybe lowering my graph details ?

@ Marker

Amd 3800 x2 2.3ghz
1gb 800mhz ram
7300gt superclocked

oh and i run it at the highest res, 1280x1024

When i set fraps to 30fps my games ran in 30fps, so i tried 60fps and BAM my games run in 60fps when recording.

If your making a vid m8 you want some decent graphics.

Id speak to DirtyRat since hes heavy into video editing n stuff.

Setting fraps on 50 or 60FPS will definately make it more playable !, some newer fraps versions have higher fps limits, but i have heard this makes the movie very large.
I have all my res up high, but it might not hurt to try lowering them if you are still having bad gameplay whilst filming.

Thorpy LOL, i have been wanting to know for ages now !
Maybe we can ask DirtyRat ;)
