same herecall me crazy, but i liked the player models and melee system better in the mod version. oh and i miss the C96...
The problem with the actual melee system is that is way to weak. You can stab an enemy in the hand, foot, aso and he is still able to move...
IRL when you stab someone, even in the hand he is shure out of combat, forget turning arround and emptying an smg in you or running away from you like Ben Johnson .
hear hear , lets have some of these things in the retail version of ro. (personally ive run up behind somone and started stabbing them only to have them turn round an hose me WAY to many times...
Ehm, no there weren't.I remember there were static MGs on some maps (jucha, nabruska for example)
Doesn't matter most times. A charged up stab whilst running at a full sprint results in a wet noise, a red chest icon for the target player and a reflex spray of bullets that kills you, at least 50% of the time.ya you have to hold teh melee key down to get the one hit kill.
i wish i played this game in the times of the mod...would have been good...
The bayonet was fricking more effective in close combat then the SMGs I can't even count the number of occations you run in to a group of 4-5 enemies (they are eqipped with both rifles and SMGs) and kill them all with the bayo before they kill you.

It was more effective then now, but that's exactly how it should be IMO.
4 or 5 smg's and killing them all ..... must have been new players looking the other way, because with experienced players you could get 1 MAYBE, the rest would certainly shoot you on the spot.
