Use "POD" in your trademark, get sued.

Here's hoping that Apple gets that lawsuit shoved up their proverbial "pod".
Common sense should prevail. However, we're talking lawyer vs. lawyer in front of a lawyer.
In the end it will all boil down to one of two things:
a) who ha$ the mo$t $taying power (Apple win$ hands down)
b) who has provided the most perks for the panel or judge recently (again Apple)

We need Ubisoft to sue Apple for using the word "pod", because of the game of the same name released for PC, and the sequel for Dreamcast, called pod 2.
Clearly Apple's use of the term "iPod" is ver close to "pod".

Apple is just itching for someone to slap them with an anti-trust suit. Claiming that ANY use of the word "pod" in advertising is an infringement is pushing far beyond the limits of their intellectual property rights, copyrights, or trademarks. Methinks they're getting a wee bit big for their britches...

To be fair, that would be a hard one to do, since iMac (or the i in general) wasn't super popular, and Paq is the last 3 letters of the company name...

I really hope Apple loses this. If they win, this would set a dangerous precident. Just imagine Microsoft suing everyone who uses "BOX" or Nintendo suing everyone who uses "cube".
