purple patches on some maps

I took this screenshot on stalingradkessel and u can (hopefully) see purple textures where i dont think there should be. On the wall u should be able to see a purple texture running vertically down the centre of the picture.

I have 84.21 drivers and have tried newer ones with no success so i rolled back as the 8 series drivers are more reliable. Could it be artifacts or missing textures, or is it normal??

Ps.Im playing at 1280x1024 resolution with all settings on high and 4xAA

please help guys. has anyone out there got this problem?? The problem only occurs when inside buildings or on the walls of buildings, never outside. I have only ever seen it on krasnyi oktyabr and stalingrad kessel, never any other maps. Please look when playing these maps. Thanks

Heres the screenshot again in case u didnt see the one abov. This is one example of the problem. There are many more patches like it but this is the largest i saw when playing stalingradkessel

Shadows? I've noticed a few purplish hues when playing also, more like in the pic you posted in the other thread. But it's never been very pronounced. I can't tell if it's simply a lighting effect or something like that. Only seems to happen somewhat on snowy maps.

Thanks mate thats probably what it is, just some very strange lighting or shadowing effect

Try playing with your contrast/brightness/gamma settings in the game options menu. Might get rid of it that way.
