Why do people use imageshack?

If you are registered and logged on you get no pop-ups from imagashack.
Besides they got a whole slew of nice tools to use in your imagehandling.

Adblock is nice, but it also blocks a lot of Flashses that contain videos, or even entire sites.

Unless you just use the image and don't include the links. I always have my thumbnails link directly to the image. Takes maybe 3 seconds longer to format and it doesn't take forever to load.

You people need to try Opera...

It has an ingenius pop-up blocking system. It only always 1 popup simotaneuously. Therfore thwarting any multiple banner ads. If you get pop-ups useing Opera, you've either got some spyware or some malicious type of program.

I've been useing imageshack for years. Photobucket sends to run out of bandwith too quickly. You have to register too.

I had fun in that thread about screenshots of older versions of the RO mod. Most people used imageshack and even with Firefox it flooded me with popups as if a pop-up dam had broken.

Never happened to me once, adblock itself doesnt really do anything to any sites(AFAIK), it all depends on the filter youre using/making.

I use Filterset.G, and seemingly it never blocks anything other than the ads. it works so prfectly for me I havent added anything to the list myself

Because we're either not Internet/computer-savvy enough to know what we're doing(usually older people), or, like me, we dont get them that often, and when we do, realize its not the end of the world.

And imageshack doesn't resize pics like photobucket.

That would be the main reason I hear people state. I personally still prefer photobucket for my pic hosting though.
