RO deleted itself

Well for some reason when I went to go play some RO just a couple of minutes ago, it said that RO had to be installed. As far as I know it was working yesterday and this morning but now its telling me I need to reinstall it.

Any clues as to why this happened?

I believe the same thing happened to me as I now have a 7 hour download, but no reason why. I've already received the updates on July 5th, etc, so my game is up to date and nothing new has been released today.

that sucks dude, I got lucky and Im downloading at 230 kpbs, so it shouldn't be that long to get setup but its weird it happened.

Same thing happend to me. Fortunately after I got it all back together, my fps jumped up pretty substantially. All that file moving from Steam might have degraded performance.

aye, same thing happened to me. I'm glad I backed up the map I was working on. Any possible explanations besides possible suicide?

Same here...

I tried to "repair" the RO installation via the CDs, but Steam STILL wants to download the whole game again. This sucks. A lot.

EDIT: and it downloads the SDK, too! WTF? The SDK had been installed already. Oh my...I knew why I didn't buy a Steam game before...

weird i have a similar issue. Loaded up RO started kessel machine hardboots for no reason and on relaunching steam its updatin RO and the sdk !!

you guys tried to restart steam?

my RO was also "deleted" but before the file system came and i just restarted steam and it was again in my list

also it helps to make a shortcut

Guys this is a SDK update and should be the last big SDK update. We are sorry for any problems this download might cause.

Yoshiro, Steam downloads RO AND the SDK at the very moment on my system. I had done the previous upgrade already (new file system) and everything was working fine. I bought the (german) retail version of RO just a week ago and the fact that I'm now downloading the whole thing again is annoying, to say the least.

Get tuneup utilities 2006 you can restore all deleted files.

well, I never used the SDK (ok, once when it was out), but now I cant play RO for an hour+ only because there is an SDK-update that forces the WHOLE GAME to be downloaded again...?=??
btw, steam does update your game automaticly, thats fine, but it ****s your game up from time to time automaticly as well, so pls, for RO2, go without the bloody steam bugger......
