Map idea

Not sure if anyone else would like this or not. But i would like to see a map with one tank on only one side dosnt matter what side even. the rest of the map would be infantry and the tank is there just to support infantry but... the catch is theres no anti tank weapons on the map. But the map should have alot of cover to hide from the tank maybe a city map of some sort with lots of buildies and stuff so the tank cant get clear fire for huge areas.

Im sure there were at least a few bad battles where one side or the other was totaly helpless against a tank i would really like to see this problem in the game. As it is the maps where tanks are there to support infantry like hedgehog theres all sorts of ways to destroy the tanks. panzerfausts all over a couple sappers and another tank. its almost more dangerous in the tank then it is running on foot since your basicly a big rolling target for anyone thats taken two seconds to grab a panzerfaust.
If thats too extreame for everyone maybe having only one panzerfaust or one satchel charge somewhere out of the way on the map not by the spawn or a objective. and not one that regens right away so people stand by it and load up on them. it should be very very hard to destroy the tank.
Maybe a Tiger tank and only one russian anti tank rifle to destroy it. would even work I just really want a map where the tank is a bigger threat to the infantry then the infantry is to the tank.

i think your missing the point of the map. in the real war it happened fairly often where one side had a tank or two and the other side had absolutely nothing to deal with it. It would force people to stay under cover on the other side. make them stay down and crawl.

Maybe if the defending side had artiliery and the attacking side had the tank. so only the artiliery could kill the tank.

You guys do know that, at the very end of the war, a teenager with a panzerfaust was the single greatest threat to a tank, right? The Soviets never looked in to anti-tank arms very much, only because their own tanks were all the anti-tank firepower they needed.

The Germans, on the other hand, produced 1.3 million Panzerfausts in December 1944 alone.

sure there were anti tank weapons but... everyone didnt have them. there might be one maybe two guys that would have a anti tank weapon and they would only get one or two shots with that at the most. not a unlimited supply. they wouldnt come across stock piles of ammo laying around on the front line. a tank comming at you should be a huge threat not the minor nusance it is on most combined arms maps. every other infantry the tank comes across shouldnt have anti tank weapons hiding in his pocket.

And yes it would be biased on one side because they have the tank.... thats the whole idea. the team without the tank would have to stay behind cover from the tank and sneak around insted of taking out the tank like it was nothing and running out in the open after its gone.

There was some american held hill in Normandy and one american battalion or something was dug in on it. Basicaly the germans tried day after day to assault it with panzers but attacks where constantly haulted by artilerly directed by the only working radio. This radio had 3 batteries and the commander realising this radio was his only hope heated these on rocks to keep them working and dared only insert the batteries when an attack came to reduce drainage from the inputs.

You could try a russian version of that map, but overall sounds a tad dull.
