Friends think I'm actually Communist

I'm really not and only enjoy playing as the Russians in RO, saying comrade, collecting Soviet militaria, etc., but I am in no way Communist or support Communist ideals, I just like the "spirit" and enjoy studying the Great Patriotic War. How do I convince them I am not?

Explain the difference between an interest and embracing an ideology.

Also explain the difference between theory and practice when it comes to this kind of ideology, what communism aspired to and how it failed.

Explain the differences between the different branches of socialism to them as well, anything left of center is seen by some as communism

No point arguing with them, give them straight facts so if they are reasonable half educated people they can understand for themselves.

If you voted for Democratic then your political stand is might be more in line with a communist than you think. Of course both the Repulican and Demorcratic parties act pretty much like Socialist these days. If you dont like Socialism - you may be interested in the Libertarian Party.
Whatever - it makes no matter, its all your choice. Dont worry about what people think. Just remember at the end of the day, all politicians are in it for themselves, not for you.

But as far as being interested in WWII German or Russians does not make you a facist or communist - maybe try to express to your associates to have and open mind. Or have them go to some Mosin Nagant Forums - i think youll most are not communists.
