Guess The Gun Thread

King Ragnar said:
lol guys wait until the person who posted the first says it was right :p or as somebody said this might as well be a pic spam thread.

Put this to the first post:

"Here's how to play it: ONE person posts a picture, the guy who guessed it correctly posts the next picture. NOTE: There's always only one picture around. You're not allowed to post a new picture, you have to solve the current one first. Also, you always have to wait until the pic-poster confirmed it's correct. AGAIN: NO MULTIPLE PICS; YOU'RE ONLY ALLOWED TO POST ONE IF YOU GUESSED THE CURRENT ONE(FIRST).
If it has been confirmed that an answer is correct, the guy who guessed it has 24 hours to post a new one, if he doesn't someone else can. He still can post a new one if no one else posted one though."

Stole that from 1944 forums too :p

We're trying to figure out this bloody Sten thing, everything else (except the rifles I posted :D) has been identified.

I'll get you Grobut, if it's the last thing I do, I think I have a picture of one of those in my 'World of Firearms' book, but I have an exam to go to now :D

Ohh no you wont! and you'll have to do better than that No.6 MkI and I/I the next time :p

Ok I found a whole bloody site about them, and there are several names, basically there were many groups manufacturing Danish Stens; BOPA, Holger Dansk, Filialen, Frit Danmark and Ringen.

It could be a gun from any of these groups my guess is 'Filialen' because on the page about this group the 'baby' or shortened Sten is mentioned. But then again the image on the front page which is nearly exactly the same as weapon in your picture is labeled as a 'Holger Dansk' sten.

Is that enough information

Foss was mentioned in the article, but then it went on to say that all 'Holger Dansk' stens were marked with a J for Jorgensen so I assumed that was the answer. Maybe the site's Danish part was more specific but the english part sure wasn't.

Not to worry, bloody Danish, a Sten is a firckin Sten :p

Yes you were correct about the United Defense Model 1942, post away.
