Help with installation?

Ok I just got the game and have tried to install but at some point a message window pops up and goes like this:

Feature Transfer error

Feature: Directx
Component: Files4
File: F:/data2.cab
Error: Data Error (Cyclic Redundancy Check)

What does this mean and how do I fix it????

It seems as if you may have a bad disc.

Bold games should be contacted on all disk/installation errors. However you should be able to just drop your cd key in steam and download the game.
