Comon motor bikes pwn jeeps.

I recon they should be added in before jeeps.

Maybe a few could be added in with just the side cart mg

Just scatter them over the map so anyone can get in the side cart and start shooting.

Half hidden things like that really make a map cool.

Esp if they where randomized and spawned in diffrent spots.

Maybe 12 diffrent spwn points but only 4 would spwn?

no way. I could not stand motor bikes just zipping around the maps. It's hard enough trying to hit those armored cars, would be even worse trying to hit the motorbikes. Of course, you could just shoot the gunner off since he is way exposed but I still don't think it would be a good idea.

Anyway Motorbikes wouldnt work in the small maps, but with maps like Arad I would love more 'different' vechiles. But for the bike I dont know. It seems to arcadey. AND too lone wolf.

If you have another other ideas post them dont worry about some of these guys They are so afraid of the CS crowd that they become them.

Because riding into combat completely unprotected and elevated slightly above everyone else (Definately above any low cover) is a superb idea. We need some easier to kill targets.

Dw as a senior member im used to hate squads destroying all forms of advancement.

Anyway RO is about realism so eventually in a few years their will be bikes because their where used in combat.

Though I suspect they wont be entirely mainstream (mod?)

Anyway what about my idea of the sidegunners mg!?

I guess this stems from my idea that maps should be more 3d.

Maps get really boring when their set (like cs) so random spawning mgs would be cool.

Living/evolving maps is another topic though.

RO is about realism => no bikes, no jeeps

It is not that people want to stop all forms of advancement. It is just that some people realize that the game in its current state simply can not accomodate motorcycles and jeeps in a historically accurate fashion. Perhaps in the UE3.0 with 64 players these vehicles can be put into the game realistically.

Its good you provided some logic to your argument (are you simply increasing your post count by not backing up your statements in the first place?).

Yea I agree the current engine wouldnt be suitable for bikes but its not that good for tanks eather.

U3 isnt that far away...

Bikes were used mostly as recon and messenger vehicles; they didn't perform very well off-road but were quick and small targets. Regular soldiers didn't take them into battle... and as such it wouldn't be realistic. Maybe one that would be usable only by the commander or something like that, at best.

And only usable at all on roads. And only able to go more than half-speed on improved roads (oh wait, there aren't any).

Most of the time I back up my opinion if I feel it is neccessary. But sometimes I won't think of something untill later, besides I like to have lengthy discussions, one post and done on a thread is no fun.

There's also no counting on the U3 license being a) used (don't get me wrong, I hope it is!) and b) a WW2 game. As far as I know, TW has made any solid plans with it yet, at least that they have shared with the public.

Yea I guess motor bikes would be sooo coooollll though.

I remeber playing bfsomethingarather and hooning round on a bike .

I guess its not that high on priorites.

I still think randomly spwning fixed MGs would be good fun.
