Disable Tank Bots!

How about providing the means to disable the miserable tank bots so they won't make a shambles of your efforts when you are operating a tank alone?

Having written the above I will note that yesterday I had a red hot bot gunner/commander in my KV-1 who blasted three or more panzers in quick succession while I looked on goggle-eyed. I stayed in the driver's position and let him go at it. Amazing.

I guess it's been discussed. I hope they do kick the bots out of the tanks, because in the main, they're useless.

I think it would be a great idea---push a key and good-bye bot. PLEASE!

You can tell them to get out, and they will.....but they will usually come back or another bot chasing your tank will replace them.

Tell them to exit, drive up a bit, then hop out and TK them. Works like a charm but they ***** up a storm for pixels and code

I like the way how bots cluster the tanks together in spawns so i can pick between TWO TANKS OUT OF SIX OR SO, since the rest are stuck and would take like.. 5 minutes of crawling to get them out from the pocket-parking-surprise

There should be a "no bots to my tank"-key which would lock the tank so a bot couldn't enter. But ofcourse real players would be able to enter.

It's so frustrating when you have perfectly aligned tank and every enemy shell just bounces off but then a bot starts to turn the tank and KABOOM!. There's your tank burning in flames. Happened to me once when playing barashka and defending the penninsula. Destroyed atleast 7 german tanks and then a bot came and drove the tank to ultimate destruction.

I've been trying to code a mutator to do just that (prevent bots from choosing the tanker classes), but so far i have had no luck, and it seems no experianced coders are interested in the idea.

There has to be a way lock bots out of tanks when a player is occupying them. Or at least only let the bot man the MG.

Would be nice..... its happened to me too. A "Bot Lock" on an occupied tank would be great.

But without the bots there'd be much less action. They are a help just not in an occupied Tank.

If only the bots would listen to you. They do obey your orders partially, but usually they make some kind off change to your orders.

Like: "Forward"
*Bot turns a 360 and than drives forward.* Or: "Stop!" *Bot stops tank but keeps turning it 5 degrees every 3 seconds, just enough to throw off your aim.*

As if that would help, all bots can drive the tanks <.< Even the infantry classes.

Bots suck for tank operations for sure imo. However...they have helped me out more than a few times while playing as infantry.
