Allthough it is on a "joke-page", i don't even find it mildly abusing. But perhaps just because it feeds the prejudices we europeans have about how americans see the world, so we are a bit picky about that

Other than that, that joke is very badly researched. A reason why germany (and Austria) Didn't "offensively" take part in military conflicts is BECAUSE we lost two world wars, and the winners made sure that we don't have the possibilities to start a third one

The US mainly supported Germany and many other european countries because they needed to have somebody who could buy all the surplus goods manufactured in America after the war.
