Good thing this bugger is designed exclusively for the next-gen consoles and not the PC. COD2's tendencies to lean entirely towards the 360 and leave its PC consumers hanging in the cold was aggravating to say the least.. now we can finally abandon the Call of Duty series.

PS. I believe this entire trailer was rendered in Full Motion Video but I'm not sure.

Americans in Normandy, how refreshing. I liked the advertisement before the trailer better than those one and a half minutes of old games video.

However, we need that full-auto mode the garand has there for the svt40 & g43 in Ostfront.
Me wanna go full-avto on those krauts!11 Liek totally yeah!!1

I won't miss it anyways. :p

But it's annoying that the market for PC games gets smaller and smaller. And a lot of PC games are more or less ports from the game consoles already, which means in many cases that theses games are completely crapp. Simplified gameplay, simplified controls, arcade ...

I would not be surprised if that was actual footage!!

No doubt PS3 stuff WILL look like this, only thing I doubt they will pull off is that kind of interacting (hand to hand combat) and camera/eye movement, as it would require some massive animation and AI work, and probably feel like the game "takes over" for you at times..

I'm guessing same old gameplay, only with those graphics.

By the way I believe that was supposed to be a Thompson, though I could be mistaken. It looks similar to BIA's tommy.

EDIT: Confirmed, it's a Thompson. Look closely at the beginning, there is a flash of wooden handgrip, the sight picture is clearly a Thompson's, and when the German knocks it out of his hands, look at it on the ground.

Edit Again: Here is a link to the story on the ads for COD2 and COD2: BRO.

http://www.gamesindustry.biz/content_page.php?aid=14891

They were ordered to stop showing said ads.. apparently Activision doesn't think it applies to ALL their ads.

At least we don't have to worry about another crappy game gumming up the PC.
"Activision expects to release a COD game in its following fiscal year, which keeps in line with a new, full Infinity Ward-developed PC Call of Duty game being released every two years." - Gamespot article

So much for that idea. lol
