Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter

played this at i27 (big lan hosted by mulitplay) and even on highest settings it looked rubbish (aliasing etc), Some bits like fire etc looked good but the general textures were very low quality.

Cant comment on game play didnt play long enough to find out but i would wait for reviews first. (run speed was quite slow about the only thing i noticed)

I have to agree, i have played the xbox 360 version and despite some AI issues and my hatred of using a gamepad for this type of game I was very impressed. Everything I have seen of the PC version has set off alarm bells though. The latest trailer for example is high res but the graphics look awful compared to the 360 and the game actually stutters even though it doesn't look like a next gen engine, in fact it looks thoroughly mediocre.

I hope I can be proved wrong, as on the 360 GRAW is wonderful, so immersive and visually stunning, really does the moden battlefield well.

"Along with the story, there is a large similarity in the art style. While the engine is actually completely different for the PC version of the game..."

"This should bring the series back to PC close to the way it was when it departed. While it's still a bit more actiony than the previous title, the pace is definitely slower than the console version."

While I don't think it's going to be as good as GR1, it's not a direct port so don't give up on AW yet.
