At any rate, yesterday, I was using both AP + HE rounds on various angles of the tracks and the tanks still were able to keep rolling towards me. I don't know?

Well i suggest aiming for the Wheels that make the Tracks go round and round (usually the foremost Wheel not in touch with the Ground), since its not easy to shoot a Track off.

Though i suggest aiming for the Ammo Storage for faster kills, if its not necessary to kill the Tracks to get a shot at killing the Tank

Right, I know how to get quick kills.......but I was in practice mode (with teh 1337 bots) and I wanted to see if I could stall it.....and by the way, I tried EVERYTHING on those tracks (the idiot didn't spot me.....heh)

so you must use HE to detroy tracks? and aim for the wheel things and not the track itself?

i need to know for when i am in a t34 and up against a panther, instead of firing with fruitless efforts i can at least destroy his treads and immobilize him for my comrades

in the mod it seemed like your tracks would be taken out a lot more than they do in ROOST...I don't think my tracks have ever been taken out since i've been playing roost, kinda weird.

I'm not sure why you bother going for the drive wheels at all. If you're firing at them head on, it's just as easy to aim for the turret/body junction. If you're firing at their side, go for the ammo storage.

Well it CAN, its just hard. Splattered someone yesterday with an anti-tank round..I forgot I had AP loaded, but got a direct hit. Fine red mist.

Might be he's perfectly nagled to you, so all your shots defelect. So you just load up a HE round, kill the tracks, and then maneuvre yourself in a better position (he still can fire at you, so keep him always at the right angle), and then fnish him off.
