it worked for me. i have 1,5gb ram. ro is now using 1,2 gb and my loading times have improved.before 2-3 mins down to 40 seconds now.

Been using a timer to see how long it takes to load maps.
In practice mode it takes about 2 minutes something.
When I go multiplayer, it takes about 3 something.

I have 1 gb ram, it's dual channel, 2 identical sticks at 512 each, 2.8 processor, so systemwise I am ok.

Wow, you 2 eh?
And ramwise you're more then double the recommended system specs.
I guess we'll either have to live with it or else there will be a fix for it soon.

Hmm this doe's nowt for me aswell, But to tell you the truth I don't have any problems loading level's with 2gig ,, It just while playing RO it can be stuttery and slugish as if I was playing this game on a DX166 hehe..

Dogguns method of cutting and pasting didn't work for me either. I know the amount of RAM you have makes a difference, but I've talked with guys who have the same as me (1gig) or less, and they don't have lag time of getting into the game.

Just cutting from the forum creates a jumble when you paste. Could someone post exactly what lines need to be changed, and then that way we could go in and do it line by line.

You just have to read Doggun's post a little more careful. On the bottom of his message he tells exactly what lines to change.
Also, I noticed that a lot of people have a problem when pasting Doggun's method, that's because he has his own settings there. Just change the 2 lines, all it takes. Use the search function in the opened textfile, and you will do it in less then a minute.

Roger that. I did go through and change those two lines by hand, but it didn't seem to make a difference. Hopefully another fix will come along...

I just hope they release a fix for this, I haven't been playing the game since I bought it.

I really can't be bothered to wait while it loads.
Tried it today, took over 5 min. to load, I am sure the connection is at fault too, but still...5 min to connect to a server?

Yea, 5 minutes is a life time in a game, especially when you arrive late and all you're left with are schutze slots
