Also, does anyone know if the Steam CD keys for the ArmA 2 DLCs work for Sprocket or any other download service? Steam is the cheapest place, but my current ArmA 2 isn't from Steam and the require me to repurchase ArmA 2 to get the DLCs.

Sprocket has both for $10, but that is more than I am willing to spend on them. I wish Amazon had them for download.

Thanks Dwarden for an update, great stuff. I had a total blast playing ArmA 2 with my friends, best tactical fps game ever. I hope you won't screw up and go for arcade with ArmA 3 like TWI did with RO2.

It looks to be staying to its routes aside from the few fictional vehicles. The story seems bad (IMO), though we can probably see proper factions added in at a later date. I would have preferred a real world conflict as the basis. Maybe the Falklands War?

If warping has been around since OFP: CWC, then you can bet it's going to be in Arma3.

Wrong

How about trying the new patch first before posting wild assumptions? MP in Arma has never been better. Warping and rubberbanding is almost completely gone. AI slides a tiny bit in some situations but that's all. I played CTI for 5hrs after the patch was out and even with hundreds of AI units on the map it was really smooth. The only thing that's left is that AI slides a bit from time to time.
You can now actually snipe moving targets in MP. That was a lottery at best before 1.60 ...

I had no problem to play missions and campaign with 50 friends on the server and had a lot of fun. Friends also didn't have such problems. I believe public servers may have such problems, but community or clan servers run on proper machines, use necessary addons and configurations.
It is the same story with RO2 50+ slot servers - few are ok, but most are laggy.
First play the game, then judge it.

Gamer's Gate has the ArmA 2 DLCs for $5 each. I bought both for $10. Payment is "pending" and has been for a few hours. Hopefully it will work. Anyone have any experience with Gamer's Gate? I plan on downloading the games from them and then burning the files to a DVD so I never have to use their download service again (I do this for Amazon). Is this possible with GG?

I got Arma2 from gamersgate months ago (and later I found it's not steam activable :( ).

Well, about Gamersgate, I never had a problem with them, but I always pay with paypal so everything works instantly.
