Beta Map Ogledow

Prima Six_Ten!

Prima Six_Ten!

Six_Ten,

Thank you for making this mod map. I played it last evening and it was like the Ogledow that I once enjoyed playing upon. Thank you for taking the time to make this, which really is now, ONE (1) of the only full sized maps that we have for RO2. Until other "official" HOS maps come out, I would love to see a Barashka mod for RO2, where we can have some decent winter tank country to move about in.

The only issues I found via your mod, were that the brush is bullet proof, which in RO2 is an improvement for you can fire through the brush and hit your enemy. The other issue being, as we discussed via game chat was the problem with the panzers becoming lodged into a wall or structure, and not being able to reverse from it - this leaves you stuck and unable to continue. Otherwise bravo your map mod is sher gute und prima!!

It is most dissapointing that for our $39.99 we did not get more than a handful of maps. What ever the case may be, more maps (mods) such as this are so very welcome to those of us who play HOS on a daily basis. Upon such mods we can wage war across wider areas that the confined apartment complexes of the Stalingrad area do not so currently allow. Such efforts as yours help prevent the game from becoming stale, as once you've played all 5 maps (as is) via a few consecutive rotations, one thinks of logging off.

Thank you for making this mod.

Alles gute! =OF=SS-Hermann

We are experiencing more and more crashes lately on our server. We don't know if it's related to the Ogledow map. Here is a snipped what's in the server logs just before it crashes:

Yeah, I also got some errors while waiting for the next round to start. I got these errors saturday or sunday but everything ran fine so I forgot about it. Now that I see this I'll post a screenshot. Here is the screenshot. Hope you guys can make some sense out of it :). There is some text missing from the error, the complete lines were in the console, but I don't think I can get that back. I went through my log files but couldn't find it there.

Have loaded files twice but each time I run server there are textures missing from buildings and rocks and there is a reoccurring lag (about every 5 seconds). Any suggestions?

Delete the following
from ROGame/CookedPC/Custom Props_Ogledow.upk
from ROGame/CookedPC/Maps Ogledow_B3(folder) and the file it contains, TE-Ogledow_B3.roe

Then download Ogledow_B4_PlayerFiles.zip, Extract with folders, put the folder it produces (CookedPC) into your ROGame directory.

I think you've explained that incorrectly, the CookedPC folder that is extracted doesn't go into the ROGame directory, coz their is already a CookedPC folder in there.

I just posted on the other thread an issue I seem to be having joining. I will post same text below; was replying to someone from 50pc who had the map running.
I am pretty good at getting around small issues with maps and workarounds but not advanced by any means. So given that, I am having an issue loading the beta4 version (or some other issue I'm not aware of to do with the multiple versions out there?).

*copy of text*
I've just spent over an hour trying to get on to try it.
Joined the 50pc server and automatically downloaded the B3 and B4 versions, both which took forever. At least the first large download was titled B3.
Then at load screen in RO2, it just hung. Had to ALT TAB out to end the game to be able to quit. Have restarted etc, done all the usual "fixes" but can't get it to load and work.
I have not deleted B3 as it autodownloads anyway when I join the 50pc server....but if I wanted to, where would I find it? I have searched all over my Steam folder in the usual places and it is not there?

*EDIT* OK, I've gone back and tried other servers running a posted B3 version and have had to start the download again, so clearly I don't have the B3 version. I have the version you have on 50pc server, which when it downloaded was labelled B3 and the another huge file named Art_Ogledow, but not B4. On any B4 server, including 50pc, with the download I had installed from your server (which you said is running the B4 I downloaded) I cannot join, the game just freezes in the load screen.

I am running a Intel i7, 6 gigs of RAM, the game on a newly installed Windows7 on an SSD drive, GPU is Nvidia GeForce GTX260.

Confused.......

I replied up there but I'll say it again here. Go to the first post in this thread.

Read the directions, they are only two sentences long.

Nowhere did I say to get the map at a game server.

Go to the first post in the Ogledow thread in modding forum.

1. delete B3

2. download the zip file

3. Extract with folders into ROGame.
