[Error] Epic redist?

Well I've posted three times already thinking someone might have an answer or suggestion that is useful. So Is there anyone with an idea that might help me figure out why I cant run ROHOS? When I go to launch the game I get a message box asking to allow steam client service to make changes(File origin HD). If I click no nothing happens and if I click yes then Epic redist starts installing step 1 of 2 and there is no progress with a green lense that overlays everything in the center of my screen. It sucks paying for a game that has so many bugs and cant get any support either! P.S. I have tried everything posted in the forums here that are related to this...............

I don't know what you have tried already but try this, goto control panel /add or remove programs and uninstall UE3Redist Then try to run game to see if Redist in stalls for you.
If it says Microsoft chart controls out of date or some thing like that, uninstall Microsoft chart control.

Have you tried to install microsoft.net framework 4.0?

It might be this that is missing on your computer.
Have you tried to disable your antivirus?
I saw you have avast, you need to go to shields and disable file shield.
I hope this was usefull to you and it sucks that you didnt get the game even installed yet.

Ok, when the redist is running drag the window to the side and you will see another window waiting for you to click.

Das Bose is most probably correct, there is a option box hiding behind the large green window (Microsoft software install, if i remember correctly it is updating the .Net software and C runtimes) behind that is a second box waiting to be approved which is punkbuster

if you go to here > C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\red orchestra 2\Binaries\windows you will find the UE3Redist file, and you can run it from here without starting RO:HoS first

If you have Vista or Win 7 then right click and run as administrator, the Microsoft install can take a while, but remember to minimise it and allow punk buster to install which should be behind the green window. Once PB has installed, go get a cup of ta, read a magazine, come back and the other update should of finished then when you restart RO:HoS you wont get this again
