Umbra 3 builds an internal representation of a game scene and uses this data at runtime to perform efficient queries that can be used to e.g. determine the set of visible objects for the player or determine the set of objects that are within a given distance from a point.

So, that said...what can't be done now that could be done before disabling it? (I'm also of the don't toy with things you don't know about camp :p)

Does this mean that if a player is casting a shadow from behind a building and you'd normally see his shadow around the corner of said building, that turning "umbra cullling" on would make his shadow disappear since the player is not within camera range? or does camera range ignore objects such as buildings?
