The old launch date will be the beta

Devs say on RO2 steam news:

"The official release date of RO 2 has been pushed back 2 weeks to allow for additional polish on the title.

This has not changed the schedule for the pre-order beta and will infact allow you to play longer now."

So if this true, beta will be before 30th August.

Our battle starts on the 23 August 2011, that'd be my bet

23rd. One week before original launch date. Gives them monday to prepare for the launch and announce it. Next tuesday is it guys.

This is of course if nothing goes wrong.

These two facts combined lead me to believe that the 23rd is when the beta will start. (that's pretty awesome about the anniversary!)
Unfortunately, this is exactly one day after my first day of college

Wouldn't surprise me if they have some stuff to finish which delayes it more (they didn't tell us for a reason I assume)
So tomorrow announcement (still special happening on 23rd for historical sake) and 24th the beta.

To those speculating about the beta date. Keep in mind, it's all just speculation. TWI still hasn't revealed or hinted at any dates yet.
