I hope so, I tend to laugh my *** off at how stale and emotion-less the facial expressions are in the first game, specially when their guts are being cut out by a bayonet.
Faces seem expressive enough in the screenshots. In the trailer the soldiers are posed, so that's probably not in-game animation, but we know the tech is there at least.
In the opening scene with the Russian charge, the officer seems to have a very nicely animated face with expressions, as do the other soldiers. This may just be cinematics for the trailer, at any rate. It looks very nice
I'm pretty sure RO was one of the first games where you could notice the soldier's eye shut when he aimed. Hopefully they add a lot more detail like this.
