Perks problem

Hello everyone

I have one small problem with Killing Floor.
Basically when I start the game I can choose my perk and stuff without any problems but when I start a solo play it's like if hte perks never existed. There is just nothing to click on ! And if I quit the map and go back on the main menu it shows an "Unknown Steam error" message. If I restart the game fully there is not the problem anymore but it happens again if I just start a solo play.
Anyone knows how to fix this ? This happens no matters the map or the mutator.

in addition i also deleted the mutators as well. once this is done verify cache and try it.

Remove all the mutators, make sure that the custom/sandbox mode isnt enabled and the map is a whitelisted one (try westlondon for example)
