I wondering if it is possible to make a in game translator maybe a mod that your set to translate from Detected Language to set language (Eng,Ger,Spa...Etc).

You can set each game's language independently by right clicking on it in your STEAM library,
opening its properties and choosing a language from the language tab.

What i think he's getting at is a translator for use ingame.
So that for instance, i (Australian) can talk to Olivier (Canadian) in French or Mille (Danish) in Danish.
I'm typing in English, but what they would see is their native (or one of their) language and thus would be able to communicate better on a server.

Just press Shift+Tab to open Steam overlay, start web browser and use translate.google.com. Then copy-paste it to the game chat.

I can't copy/paste in the steam overlay to KF game chat.
I didn't think it was possible because of that.

To my knowledge, there is no Portuguese support at all for KF.
Would be nice to see it, especialy if it used the traditional Portuguese from Portugal, not that dumbed-down one from Brazil.

Maybe send the translate files to TWI so they could hopefully add it as a official language for the game.

I would imagine this to be an insane amount of work, I mean look at google translator, after all these years its still useless junk. Not to mention someone building this thing from scratch.

I'd imagine this feature would take insane amounts of work but I'd love it. Some of my KF friends speak very little English and it'd make communicating a lot more effective for both parties. Unfortunately though, I doubt that it's a reasonable thing to expect.

Copy-paste doesn't work in chat, but works in console. So copy the text, open console, type "say " and press Ctrl+V

Would that work with the cryllic alphabet, because i remember there being a couple of Russian visitors down under; and i'd really like to be able to communicate in their native language.

Killing Floor doesn't use Unicode, so if you aren't installed Russian version of KF, you will see '~' instead of Cyrillic symbols.
