Excuse for my English, I used online the translator

It would be good to take the hostage
You can be covered with it as a live shield
You should take away it in the headquarters (awards more than for murder)
Bonus introduction for example during the following of 30 seconds your team is possible to see movement of enemies on a minimap

The hostage can try to escape (minigame to repeat 5 buttons pressed by the hostage in a definite time)
It is easy when around there are no enemies, and it is much harder when you are under fire)

If the hostage managed to escape, it deafens you for 5-6 seconds and can try to escape.

Probably the idea is difficult for realization
But it seems to me is interesting enough to game based on realism

I'm not sure if a hostage gametype would be very practical in a game like RO2. Especially because its not like the hostage can just run into a forest and wait for 5 days for the troops he's running from to move along. It just doesn't feel like it would work. I also don't like the idea of having a mini game to escape as a hostage. If you are to escape it should be through sneakiness, either way in an urban environement like stalingrad the only place to hide would be in buildings and I'm sure RO2 will not have every building being accessible as hiding places... either way, who would be a hostage in stalingrad? I'm pretty sure the mentality was kill or be killed.

I'd like to see a proper mod like that... a Raven Shield or SWAT 4 type mod. Of course, with modern weapons, sophisticated squad control, smart AI and an appropriate setting.

Just a bad idea that won't work well in the time period and setting of RO2.

No no.... a 1940s law enforcement game! With Thompsons and BARs and dozens of classic cars to drive around.

I think the OP is referring to taking Prisoners Of War and escorting them back to field HQ for interrogation for extraction of information - well that is what I interpret his post to suggest:confused:

I like his suggestion and the idea of using the POW as human shield though as it brings the Villain Of Stalingrad into play..

Against what? Bayonets? That's about the only weapon where I can see a human shield work against. Pistols maybe but if pistols are as bad as in RO you're better off with a bayo-charge anyway.:p

With a cab? Or a bus? RO doesn't actually simulate all of Stalingrad and its surroundings. It's just combat scenarios in limited maps. You can't take half a day off and transport a hostage back to your head quarters.

Bonus introduction for example during the following of 30 seconds your team is possible to see movement of enemies on a minimap
So after you interrogate the hostage for a couple of days (very optimistically speaking), hoping that the round isn't over by then, of course, you expect the hostage to know, by the meter (!), where his comrades are right now (!) and you have a way of relaying that information to your forces?

The hostage can try to escape (minigame to repeat 5 buttons pressed by the hostage in a definite time)
I hated the five button minigame in MechAssault 2. It even felt stupidly out of place in a game about giant robots.

If the hostage managed to escape, it deafens you for 5-6 seconds and can try to escape.
I don't see how you being deaf helps the hostage a whole lot and I don't see how you would be deaf for a couple of seconds in the first place. Should the hostage hit your head with something? If yes, why doesn't it hit you again while you're down to kill you, take your weapons and reunite with its squad mates?

But it seems to me is interesting enough to game based on realism
In any game but a "game based on realism.":p
