Free look

I'm sorry if this is something that is common knowledge, but, will there be free look in this game? By free look I mean being able to look around without having to move your entire body (Refer to ArmA2)

I never played Ostfront, so I don't know whether it was in that or not

As far as I know there won't be any free look.

Nothing confirmed, but Ramm / John Gibson / Lead Programmer was looking into TrackIR on the NaturalPoint forums a year or two ago.

So it's likely it's something they've considered. Who knows if they decided to implement it in RO2?

That's free aim. Free look is when you can look around and your weapon is still pointed forward. Free look is implemented in ArmA and works sweet.

Yeah, Free look especially in tanks.
But I do not really think it is very necessary as infantry in this game.
Or maybe it is, I don't know because I have not played RO2 yet .

Actually Free look would be pretty nice to have.
it was always a little hard for me with the free gun movement/aim, and being able to keep your gun aiming one way (and Staying that way) while you check your sides would be really useful.

but with everything else we may not even need free look

Yes. And it has a collision system like Trespasser, so it doesn't go through obstacles but collides with them.
