Microphone Stops Working

I seem to have encountered an issue during the beta this weekend where my mic would unexpectedly stop working in the game when I tried to use voice chat.

I use a USB headset and when I first launch the game it is definitely working. However, after a few matches (without changing servers) it seems to just stop picking any sound up in the game. When this happened (multiple times) I verified in both Windows and Steam settings (via the in-game configure mic button) that it was using the correct device and that it was picking up audio, but when I tried to transmit in game it was silent.

I can only assume it is a bug, but if not I would like to know if anyone else has encountered this issue and whether they found a solution.

Same thing happens to me. "Caps Lock" is the key I have it set to. I can go into steam and windows settings while game is up and test the microphone. It works both of those. But when I hit button in game it shows that the microphone is keyed but the level meter doesn't move and no one can hear me. Restarting the game fixes the problem.

Make sure your microphone properties has level at 100% and if needed add some boost to amplify your microphone output. Then in Steam properties configure your microphone (select the proper device and test). In game configure the key binding to have a push to talk key (Team Voice), then in audio settings make sure the box Push to VOIP is ticked, and you can set voice receive volume to what you want here too (I usually set to max then go down if needed later).

I reupdated driver a while back didn't fix problem. I can figure out no reason why mic stops working in game and in game only. It also happens on front and back mic jacks.

Just an update on noticing something.

It seems to happen only or a lot more often when I have my Chrome browser open with a youtube video playing / or I have OBS running and I am streaming. Does anybody else have anything else running like this that could conflict with the audio?
Hope this helps you narrow your search guys, keep up the good work!
