A Vietcong night probe of US defenses at a fire base turns into a full blown assault. US start with a maximum of fifty two men, spawn around the base depending on what squad number they joined (example Squad three would start East on the base's perimeter, Squad 6 South, like a clock).

The US defenders only have one life but only for the first twelve deaths. The twelve US soldiers that first die automatically joins the Vietcong attackers. Soon as the US loses it's twelfth man, the barracks alarm sound waking forty reserve tickets (US re-spawns from barracks in the middle of the base). Once those tickets run out, when any US soldier dies they too automatically join the Vietcong attackers).

The Vietcong starts with twelve men and have the option to spawn from the N, E, S, W surrounding the base. The Vietcong have unlimited lives.

The US goal is to survive the fifteen minutes until support arrives. Gain more experience points for the longer you survived. As US commander, receive faster fire support the closer the countdown gets to zero.

Your stats for US freeze relative to when you have to join the Vietcong. The Vietcong stats are brother's lost in assault, time of assault and Gi's killed, which is all relative to when you had to join the Vietcong team.

I referred to this as a new game type because this doesn't only have to be used with a fire base scenario. This can be used on most maps as long as you restrict US defenders to a set circle perimeter, put barracks or tents in the middle (defense re-spawn area) and make it night time.
