New weapon/uniform discussion and speculation

I saw that the devs are going to make us some new weapons in the same announcement that came out recently. They've practically hit all the bases with the weapons in game now, what possibly could they add? The XM177E2? The Vietnamese K50M modified PPSH?

What uniform pieces do you think will be added? Will we see Tiger Stripe or BEOGAM for US Army/USMC?

Im still hoping for the MP40. I also want to see more uniforms for the VC....and would like to see a female VC character. I am not a woman myself, but I think it would be neat to give a playable skin for any ladys who play who at least want to reflect that in game when on the VC side. as for the Americans I would like to see some more casual stuff non standard issue adornments, maybe more little personal items like glasses, necklaces etc.

of the weapons that aren't in game already & would seem to be natural inclusions, roughly ranked in terms of plausibility to my way of thinking
United States
-M72 Law (though no armour, as yet for it to counter)
-S&W Model 12 .38 special revolver (seemingly a more likely sidearm for pilots, than even the 1911)
-M14a2 (most correct for early - mid period USMC maps)
-Winchester Model 70 target rifle (most correct for early - mid period USMC maps)
-XM177e2 assault rifle

NVA
-K50M smg
-PK machine gun
-VZ.58 assault rifle

NLF
-Mle MAS 1936, CR-39
(in game there's a big derth of french smallarms for the NLF, in general)

The devs said 2x new weapons, & 1x new variant of an existing weapon in the first new DLC, so for my speculation on what will be included;
is it wrong to think of either the XM177e2 or K50M, as variants? & the PK, seems plausible for a bit of added potency against the Cobra & barriers.
Just hope the new inclusions don't turn out to be pistols,......

I could definitely see the K50M being the variant, I'd love that. I wonder if it's a milled type 3 AK or something too?

I don't think the PK made it to the war, I've not seen a pre 1976 photo of one in the country. I am a fan of the weapon, though. The Czech VZ58 and the light machine gun they made soon after in Czechoslovakia would be good choices. The Skorpion was reportedly used late war too by NVA troops, but that would be so niche we'll probably never see it.

I don't think we'll see the Stoner 63 either til we have a Navy Seal team.

US

- .38 revolver, officially given to pilots, unofficially given out like candy.
- Car-15 for specialist classes and TL.
- M14A1, not the highest in number were handed out, but it'll give the machine gunner something other than a 10kg M60 to be able to shoulder.

NVA:

- PPS: probably the most popular submachine gun platforms used by Vietnam
- Vz.58: received from care packages from Czechoslovakia.
- Vz.63: Skorpion (rare) also received from Czechoslovakia, given to bodyguards, would be cool little gun for the radioman!
- Vz.26: Received from China and Czechoslovakia, popular with Viet Minh veterans, would also give NVA a mazine fed GPMG.

conditional LPO-50: used during tet-offense, should only be available on maps where NVA are attacking.

NLF:

- Kr98K: Surplus given to insurgents in the bucketloads by USSR and Czechoslovakia, some were even modified to house 25 round magazines!
- MP40: Popular among all sides of the Vietnam war, restored MP40's were handed out by the USSR in droves.
- MG-34: Popular amongst gun runners for it's use as a versatile GPMG, used as an anti-air on a tripod, and as a general purpose with a bipod.
- RP-46: Belt feed DP-28, could be modified on the fly to feed from drum magazines.
