I added a few custom maps to my dedicated server. Unfortunately, maps downloads are really bad *within the game*. I can download directly very fast, I dont think this is a bandwidth problem.
I saw a post bout a re-direct server? Perhaps there is a throttling setting?
Is there a way to pre-cache a map on the client so the download isnt that long?
For myself, I can wait it out, however, when freinds join, they dont want to waste time watching the map download for 30 minutes. If I knew where to put it ( i tried placing in my local maps with no luck) I might be able to give them the maps to preplace.
