We are currently investigating several crashes for RO 2 / RS so that we can fix them. However we are having trouble reproducing them in house so we are looking for additional information.

These are what we are looking into and what we need:

Nvidia 600 series crash - Please post any .dmp files you may have (located in mydocs/mygames/redorchestra2/rogames/logs) from this crash. They should be time stamped.

Launch to black screen - We really need to produce this in house so we can monitor what the engine is doing. If you have this problem and live in Georgia, please let me know!

Punkbuster/Blue Screen - We would like the Windows DMP file from anybody who has this crash.

To find out where it is located go to your control panel, then system, then advanced system settings (in Windows 7) or the advanced tab (in Windows XP), click the start up and recovery 'settings' button.

Near the bottom of the start up and recovery settings window will be a dump file location text box which will specify where you can find it.

Please only post in this thread with information related to what we need. Any other post is subject to removal (to make it easier for us to find the required information).

Not in Georgia but I'd like to help if I can!

I don't live in Georgia, but I am the Senior Technical Support Agent for another game company so there's any other information I can give you to help with this, please let me know! I'd very much like to play Rising Storm. I am experiencing the Black Screen with Audio issue on my PC at home. I haven't been able to narrow down the cause of the issue or alleviate it at all on my machine.

    Yoshiro,

are you sure it's only cards from the 600 series? I am running a Zotac 570 GTX AMP! edition.

The crashes you describe might not necessarily be a problem with your game. The Nvidia, Zotac, MSI etc. forums are full of people complaining that all overclocked Geforce cards have a problem with crashes. There is no fix for this for years. What works for most players (including me) is to use MSI Afterburner and slightly increase/decrease the core clock.

So if the people reporting trouble use any kind of OC'ed card, this might be the problem.

Very poor service from NVIDIA on this because problem reports exist since 2008 (!).

Hi I tried all the resolutions on the steam forum regarding my game not starting at all and none seem to work. I think I attached my .dmp file like you requested. I run a windows 7 NVIDIA GTX 690. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I recently had my mobo fry on me and so upgraded it and my CPU and that's when the problems appeared to start, but it seems that it's common on Nvidia 600 series cards too, and I have a GTX 670. I've managed to get into a few games once when this was going on but either the game crashes immediately on startup or it crashes shortly into when the game is running most of the time. I've attached all the .dmp files that have been created recently.

If you have graphics drivers older than 320.xx then it will crash on you. Update your drivers first if you haven't done so.
