"Counterattack" Mapping Contest for RO2

Can we get more in depth details on this? What exactly are the rules/rights concerning mod maps and its authors who may not be with the TWI team anymore and asset permissions concerning the mod.

Any modder map that was picked up and released officially by Tripwire is open. Any other modder map you need the original authors permission to use their work. It is detailed out in the rules section: http://www.heroesofstalingrad.com/c...n/counterattack-map-making-competition-rules/

"Any use of previous RO community/mod maps must be by the original owner, or with the express writen permission of the owner."

Ok got it, also one last question, what qualifies as a "Remake"? Does it have to be a close/exact remake or could it be a reimagined(Loosely based layout/look). I'm just asking because many of the mod/ost maps tended to be over loaded by 64 players and was wondering if the maps could be re imagined/made larger to accommodate the higher player limit.

That is up to you! As long as it can be recognized as being created on "top of" the original, let your mind guide your mouse hand. But if you call it a "Berlin" remake from the old RO mod and it doesn't incorporate the layout of the original RO-Berlin it will not be accepted into that category.
