Hi there,
Mayako is a custom map for Rising Storm. I

very nice looking map! I noticed on this screenshot:

That the grass on the lower right are all in a nice straight line, you might wanna make it less neat.

I saw that and thought something similar, but then I thought it was a rice field, so I thought it made sense.

Yeah, it should be a ricefield. I agree, it might look kind of weird from that point of view but it suppose to look like that. And I don't want to make it more dense than it's necessary.

A small week report.

I decided to rework two areas:IS2:, that took some extra time. However work on cover stuff is going faster than I anticipated. Win-Win.

Five new screenshots:

I have two questions if somebody more experienced could help me, it'd appreciated it.

1) Is there an easy way how to add a collision to static mesh? If not, no biggie.

2) Some meshes have different texture/material on official maps (MHill, Betio). However properties are exactly same as the original one and I cannot figure out how to do that :(

1. Bring up the selected meshes properties by pressing F4. Under Collision -> Collision Type You can select a number of options "Block All, Block Weapons, No Collision" and so forth

2. Not sure what this means. They have different materials, but list same material? You can copy and paste whichever one you want from the stock maps or find the material in the browser and drag it to the mesh.

1. I have block all (default, like all others) and I can still walk through this specific mesh. I might just create block volume around it.

2. According to mesh properties, they both have default one, yet they look different. I can copy it but that's not my point.
